Annual Parish Meeting
Location: Large Parish Hall, Links Lane, Rowlands Castle PO9 6AD
Which Parish Community Facilities do you think should get Developers’ Contributions?
The developments currently under construction in the Parish mean EHDC will be receiving developers’ contributions for various categories of funding, including for Community Facilities (the Rec Ground is dealt with separately). Expressions of interest in such funding have been received from 5 Parish organisations: St John’s Church, RC Scout Hut, The Church on the Green, RC Heritage Centre and St Hubert’s Church, Idsworth.
Although EHDC makes the final decision, you can influence which projects are prioritised for this funding. That’s why this is the main theme for this year’s Annual Parish Meeting (APM) on Monday 23 April 2018 at 7pm in the Parish Hall.
There will be a 5-minute presentation from each organisation on their project, how much funding it needs and what benefits it could bring. The spending of developers’ contributions is focused on the community’s need for a project and its long-term viability.
We need residents’ help in gauging these factors so please come along to the APM, hear the presentations and give us your opinion. There will be a Q & A to help answer any queries you might have.
As well as the above, reps from the local Police Team will be outlining key issues and priorities and answering questions. There will also be reports from local organisations and cllrs plus a “What next for the Parish Council” Presentation. For a full copy of the Agenda, see Annual Parish Meeting. Everyone’s welcome and there will be refreshments in the break. If you can’t get there for the start of the meeting, don’t worry you can join at any stage and it won’t be a late night.
